JVP Investment Coins launched a new project "Orthodox Series - HOLY VIRGIN MARIA".

The tradition of the Feast of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary was born in Byzantium, but firmly established and entrenched in Russia.
This holiday was established in memory of the vision Blessed Andrew and his disciple St. Epiphanius in worship in Constantinople, the Temple of the Holy Virgin with the holy angels standing on the air and stretched over the Shroud praying and protecting them from enemies.

This holiday Orthodox Church marks each year, 14 – October. Depicted on the icon is our Lady, holding his grace cover. In the Orthodox Russia, the word “Protection” refers to covers. In this holiday Orthodox Christians are asking the Queen of Haven protection and assistance.
The original of this icon is stored in the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection in Berlin which was consecrated in 1938.
The icon was brought from Poland in Minsk Mazowiecki, where it was stored in one of the orthodox churches. During the persecution of the Orthodox Church, it was hidden and later in 1938, this icon was transported to the Holy Resurrection Cathedral and remains there to this day the top  of the altar gate.
