History of the series:
The set of silver collector coins of the „Painters of the World” series started in 2006, very popular among collectors, has been enriched by another, seventh coin devoted to a remarkable German painter - Albrecht Dürer issued by the Principality of Andorra.
Albrecht Dürer (May 21, 1471 – April 6, 1528) is regarded as the greatest artist of the Northern Renaissance and one of the best printmakers of all time. In the central part, an insert – etching picture of “Adam and Eve” engraving– one of the most famous engraving of Albrecht Dürer. On the left side, a vertical inscription in Catalan language, PRINCIPAT D’ANDORRA (Principality of Andorra). At the bottom, on the left, the Coat of Arms of the Principality of Andorra and the Mint Mark “MW”.
